Some frequently asked questions about our car key replacement services.
1. What car makes and models do you supply?
We can replace key and transponders on most models . Some of the more expensive marquees we do not stock as a matter of course, due to the expense. But always ask us first!
Usually Stocking: Ford, Vauxhall, Peugeot, Citroen, Renault, Rover, Toyota, Lexus, Subaru, Audi, VW, Seat, Skoda, Piaggio, Suzuki, Chrysler, Jeep, Honda etc
2. Do you cover chipped keys?
Yes, car keys are generally cloned although some can be generated from software and some programmed to cars.
3. My car has an immobiliser?
Sometimes we need to get the immobiliser code directly from the manufacturers. If the client has lost, or never had the code we can extract it from the ECU via the OBD test socket. We can also remove the chip from the ECU and re-map it.
4. Can you cut a key from the actual car lock and do it on-site. Like a mobile key cutting service?
We can normally do this but older vehicles the key could be more costly than the car!
